Mr. James "Suddie" Council, 86, of Hamburg, AR, died Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at his home. He was a native of Parkdale, a former employee of Hamburg School District and Leisure Lodge Nursing Home, and was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Cleo Setters Council, four brothers: Willie Council, Henry Lindsey, Robert Council and Johnny Council, two sisters, Doris Bell and Loula Mae Robinson. James enjoyed maintaining his lawn, fishing and playing dominoes.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years,Kathryn L. Council, one daughter, Linda Hill, one sister, Annie Perine of Milwaukee, WI, two grandchildren, Kymara Seals & Kenetta Ridgell, husband Michael, four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services are Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Willie R. Taylor, officiating. Active pallbearers are Michael Ridgell, Lawrence Booker, Rodney Seals, Daniel Shelton, John Ware and Jimmy Clark. Honorary pallbearers are the Mt. Zion Men's Sunday School Class and the Deacons of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery.

Viewing Monday, August 10, 2015 from 1:00-7:00 pm in the chapel of Cromwell Funeral Home.
