James Oneal Brown, age 69 of Tucson, AZ, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in Tuscon. Mr. Brown was a native of Crossett, but a resident of Tucson for the past 30 years and of the Baptist faith.  He served in the US Navy.

He loved working with his hands, building things, repairing cars and cooking. He was an amateur boxer and trainer, a dog lover and a very charming man.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Fike and Lola Brown Miles; three sisters, Louise Fikes Doss, Joann Miles Warren and Donnie Miles Burns,; four brothers, Nathaniel, Charles , Abraham and Edgar Lloyd Fikes.

He is survived by two sons, Kenthol Fenceroy, Sr. of Oakland, CA and Jeremiah Brown of Tucson, AZ; two daughters, Latonya Brown of Champaigne, IL and Kassarine Fenceroy-Wesley (Alvin Joe, Sr.) of Oakland, CA; two brothers, Carl Miles (Fannie) and Edward Miles, Jr. both of Crossett; two sisters, Ruby Martin of Richmond, CA and Lucille Fikes-Jones of Cleveland, Ohio; five grandchildren, Khloe, Kenthol, Jr., Kelvin, Jr., Kasha, Alvin Joe, Jr. and a host of other family and friends, and his beloved pit bull, 'Princess'.

Graveside service will be Monday, July 10, 2017 at 1:00pm at Westview Cemetery in Crossett. Visitation will be from 4:00pm – 5:00pm on Sunday, July 9 ^th at Cromwell Funeral Home.
