Mr. Izeah Peoples,Sr., 68, of Crossett, AR, died Monday, February 11, 2008 at the Ashley County Medical Center. Mr. Peoples was a native of Collinston, LA, but a resident of Crossett for the past 36 years, a retiree of Georgia Pacific Forestry Division, and a member of First Baptist Church on Florida St. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Bates & Emma Jean Peoples, and two brothers, Dr. Roosevelt Peoples and Quinnon Edwards Peoples.

Survivors include two sons, Izeah Peoples, Jr. & Tyrone Peoples both of Crossett, AR, three daughters: Sandra Louise Peoples of Mer Rouge, LA, Ruby Peoples Miles & Juanita Peoples both of Bastrop, LA, four sisters: Beatrice Voskuil & Sharon Thompson both of Bastrop, LA, Betty Tate of Atlanta, GA & Linda Brandon of Collinston, LA, fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were Monday, February 18, 2008 at 1:00 PM at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Murlee Carter, officiating. Pallbearers wer Cottra Miles, Robert Scates, Amon Peoples, Laz Thompson, Jermaine Peoples & Marcus Peoples. Burial was in Westview Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home.
