Mrs. Iva Lucille Morgan, 61 died Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Mississippi University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. She was a lifelong resident of Hamburg and a custodian for the Hamburg School District. She was also a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. One of the most important things to Mrs. Morgan was her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Worthy Morgan; an infant daughter: Gloria Morgan; her parents: George and Sallie Franklin Swinney; two brothers: George and Donty F. Swinney; and one sister: Madline Robinson.
She is survived by her son: Edward "E G" Morgan; two sisters: Alice Marie Hill, and Charlene Wallace and husband Thomas all of Hamburg; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 10:30A.M. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Willie R. Taylor officiating. Active pallbearers are Curtis Hillard, Lloyd Collins, Thurnell Hymes, Lawrence Stanley, DeWayne Watt, and Trey Emory. Honorary pallbearers are Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Mission Ministry, Mt. Zion Trustee Ministry, and the custodial and maintenance staff of the Hamburg School District. Visitation will be Friday, October 1, 2010 from 5:00-6:30P.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mt.
