Mrs. Irene Smith Mason, 97 of Crossett, AR, died Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Stonegate Villa Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was a native of Wilmot, a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by two husbands: William "Bill" Smith and Earl Mason, one daughter Merlene Kelly, three brothers, six sisters, and two grandsons. Mrs. Mason's passion was working in her flower garden and enjoyed traveling. She also was a restaurant owner for many years in Wilmot and Crossett.

Mrs. Mason is survived by her two sons: Robert "Sonny" Locke, wife Janice, of Tillar, AR, William "Buddy" Smith, wife Shirley of Hamburg, AR, three daughters: Nancy Hoover, husband Jim, of Ridgeland, WI, Billie Smith, husband Larry of Tyler, AR, and Mickey Franklin of Crossett, AR, fifteen grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 11:00AM at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jamie Staley officiating. Pallbearers are Wesley Smith, John Creach, Charles Moore, Kasey White, Doug Gardner and Bobby Brown. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday, march 22 at Cromwell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bell Cemetery in Wilmot under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
