Obituary

Mr. Hunter Giles 'Bud' Cooper, 72 died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011 at his home in Crossett, AR. He was a native of Clarksville, TN and a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer. Mr. Cooper operated Cooper Donut Shop in Crossett for 11 years. He loved camping and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a great gift of wit and gab. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed seeing the country and traveling with his best friend, Jean Weaver. He also enjoyed getting together a couple of times a year with all his retired navy buddies.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Gol Lyle and Elizabeth Giles Cooper and one daughter, Jamie Leigh Goodwin.


He is survived by three sons: Gol Keith Cooper and wife Barbara, Mike Cooper and wife Tammy and Steven Cooper all of Crossett, AR and 2 sisters: Ann Lenoir of Norris, TN and Nancy McKinney and husband George of Paducah, KT, eight grandchildren: Mathew and Cantley, Hunter Cooper, Carly Cooper, Rachael Cooper, Kaitlynn Goodwin, Sarah Pickson, Josh Jenkins, Hal Bernden and a host of other family and friends.


Memorial services will be held Friday, Feb. 4 at 6:00pm in the home of his son, Mike Cooper, 902 Hickory Street in Crossett, AR.
