Mr. Hue D. Shelton, 83 of Wilmot, AR, passed Friday, January 8, 2016 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Wilmot, a Retired Laborer of Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill, and a member of Holy Temple C.O.G.I.C in Dumas, AR.

Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Mrs. Jessie Bell Woods-Shelton (2012), his parents: Tommie and Salone Sherron-Shelton, three sisters and one brother. Mr. Shelton was a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather. His passion was Bar B-Queing, fishing, hunting, and working in his garden.

He is survived by four sons: Hughie L. Shelton, wife Lena of Victorville, CA; Herbert Shelton, wife Lila, Gary Shelton, wife Shirley all of Wilmot, AR; Terry Lewis, wife Rositia of Little Rock, AR; one daughter: Renee' Owens, husband Chris of Wilmot, AR; five brothers: T.C. Woods of Markham, IL; Johnie Woods of Chicago, IL; Virty C. Shelton of Los Angeles, CA; Tommie Shelton, Jr., wife Joe-Ann of Conway, AR; James Shelton, wife Fannie of Chicago, IL; five sisters: Naomi Norman of Bastrop, LA; Jean J. Randall, husband Mose of Sherwood, AR; Rosie Shelton of North Little Rock, AR; Lee Elliott, husband Larry, and Sandra Johnson, husband Ronnie all of Little Rock, AR; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services are 1PM Sunday, January 17, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Wilmot, AR with Elder Edward Gaston, officiating. Pallbearers are Eric Bass, Carlos Bass, Charles Kitchens, Cleveland Parker, Thurnell Hymes, and Bill Kitchens. Honorary Pallbearers are his Sons & Grandsons. Interment in Harris Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 5PM-7PM at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
