Mr. Hollis McQuay, age 78, of Hamburg, AR, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. He was a native of Lake Village, AR, but a resident of Hamburg for the past 70 years. Mr. McQuay was a retired timber worker and a member of Epistles of God Church of Deliverance where he served as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Sue McQuay (1994), a son Carlos McQuay (1980), parents Dee and Gassie Sanders McQuay, five sisters, Beadie Morgan, Margie Mason, Ollie Fowler, Maudine Irving, and Claudine Tolliver, six brothers, John D., Roosevelt, Willie, R.J., Roy, and Obie McQuay. Hollis enjoyed fishing, mowing his lawn on his zero-turn mower, and going to church.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Algerine McQuay of Hamburg, AR, children: Kenneth McQuay of Pensacola, FL, Veronda Renea McQuay of Acworth, GA, Darrell Williams "Veronica" of Glen Burnie, MD, Dana Williams-Duval of Jacksonville, AR, Chester Williams "Amy" of Columbia, SC, and Shorn Williams of Phoenix, AZ, one brother Rev. Olderns "Lorra" McQuay of Hamburg, AR, sixteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Erma McQuay, Blanche McQuay, and Pat McQuay, brother in law, Berron "Lavonda" Ware, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Funeral Service is 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Epistles of God Church of Deliverance with Pastors Mona & Ryan McBride officiating. Active Pallbearers are Allen Huggins, Michael Burns, Johnny Guy, Lawrence Tucker, Vernell Richardson, and Steven Paskel. Honorary Pallbearers are Wayne Pugh, Gary Williamson, and Deacons of Epistles of God Church of Deliverance. Services entrusted to Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc of Hamburg, AR.
