Mr. Henry D. Williams, 78 of Lake Village, AR, died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village. He was a native of Parkdale, AR, a resident of Lake Village for the past 15 years, a retired farmer and truck driver and a member of Union Baptist Church.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his mother, Letha Aldridge, two brothers, Lawrence & L.C. Williams and his grandmother, Clowdine Collins. He enjoyed playing dominoes, singing and telling jokes and making his family laugh.
He is survived by one son, Henry D. Williams, Jr., of Jacksonville, AR, one brother, Herman Williams, wife Freddie Mae of Parkdale, AR, four sisters: Willie Mae Goodwin of Crossett, AR, Dorothy Bland of Wilmot, AR, Moszell Dortch of Parkdale, AR and Clora Ann Easby, husband Leon of St. Louis, MO, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
Funeral services are Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11:00 am at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Jessie C. Knight, officiating. Pallbearers are Larry, Melvin, Alvin, Randy Goodwin & Joe Willie and Leroy Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Deacons and Trustees of Union Baptist Church. Burial in Childress Chapel Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
Visitation Friday, March 15 from 6-7 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home.
