Henry "Papsy Daddy" Caldwell, age 79 of Portland, died Friday, March 4, 2011 in Maumelle, AR. He was a native of Portland and retired farmer and a member of the Brown Temple Baptist Church. He loved to tell his stories. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kaye France Caldwell and his parents, Thomas and Novella Rice Caldwell.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rose Rice Caldwell; three sons, Henry Caldwell Jr. of Tampa FL, Cleveland Caldwell of Portland and Kenneth Caldwell of Dallas TX; three daughters, Karen Caldwell of Maumelle,AR, Sonya Simpson and husband, Paul of North Little Rock, AR and Mary Caldwell of Little Rock, AR; two brothers, Cleveland Caldwell of Little Rock, AR and John Hodges of Columbus, GA; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday, March 12th, 2011 at 1:00PM at Portland #2 Baptist Church with Rev. Lewis Meadows officiating. Pallbearers will be Phillip Williams, Ricky Webb, Marcus Johnson, Jesse Turner, Charles Bynum and David Collins. Interment will be in Portland Cemetery #2. Visitation will be 6:00-7:00pm at Cromwell Funeral Home in Hamburg, AR.
