Mrs. Helen Thornton, 95, of Parkdale, AR, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Chicot Memorial Hospital in Lake Village, AR. She was a native of Camden, AL, a resident of Parkdale for the past 84 years, a homemaker, and a member of Penny Chapel C.M.E. Church.

Mrs. Thornton was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Thornton, her parents, George & Nadine Thornton and her god-son George Davidson, Jr.

She is survived by her sister, Margie Morris of Pine Bluff, AR, god-son, Albert Davidson, wife Nancy of Little Rock, AR, god granddaughters: Martha & Betty Davidson both of Hamburg, AR, Territha Reed of Little Rock, AR, god grandson, Eddie Davidson, Sr. of Monticello, AR, god great-grandsons, Ethan Davidson, Demarien Johnson, Joshua & Jeremiah Burrell & Eddie Davidson, Jr., god great-granddaughters, Auriona Whitaker, Faith Burrell & Vivian Guy, her aunt, Fannie Morris and a host of other loved ones, family and friends.

Funeral services are Sunday, February 23, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Donald Manning, officiating. Pallbearers are Jeremiah William, Eddie Davidson, Sr., Willie Williams, George Davidson, III and Quincy Conley. Honorary pallbearers are Randy Smith, James Dillard & A.C. Campbell. Burial in Zion Hill Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
