Helen Jean Booker, age 71, of Hamburg, AR., died Monday June 19, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Kingsland, AR., but a resident of Hamburg for the past twenty-three years. Mrs. Booker was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hamburg. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were so precious to her, and she enjoyed spending time with them and working crossword puzzle games.

Mrs. Booker was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Birdie Duncan-Stroud, and brothers Grady Paskel and Stanley Stroud.

She leaves to cherish her memories husband of fifty years Lawrence Booker, three sons Jerome Booker, Anthony Booker wife Vonshelia, and Demarco Booker all of Pine Bluff, AR., two daughters Teresa Booker of Hamburg, and Sophia Booker of Pine Bluff, three brothers Vinnie Stroud wife Deborah of Fordyce, AR., Lewis Stroud of Camden, AR., and Henry "LT" Stroud of Kingsland, AR., three sisters Betty Smith of Colorado Springs, CO., Birdie Martin of Malvern, AR., and Henryetta Stroud of Pine Bluff, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Funeral Service will be Graveside at Roy Lewis Booker Memorial Cemetery Friday June 23, 2023, at 11:00 AM with Dr. Richard Booker officiating. Pallbearers are Calvin Booker Jr., Derrick Booker, Chris Booker, Christopher Stroud, Joshua Stroud, and Nadravian Woods. Burial will follow in the Roy Lewis Booker Memorial Cemetery.
