Gill Charles "Rickey" Bonnett, 67 of Crossett, AR transitioned Friday, August 21, 2026, at Ashley County Medical Center. He was a native of Bastrop, LA, a resident of Crossett for several years, and a retired employee of Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill. Mr. Bonnett was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Crossett.

He was preceded in death by his son, Eric Bonnett, father, Warren Bonnett, Jr., and one sister Sandra Bonnett. Rickey loved driving, landscaping, traveling, and sports. His favorite team was the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He is survived by his wife of thirteen years, Shirley Bonnett; two sons, Ricky Jimmerson "Yamonica" of Grand Prairie, TX, and Kenny Bingham "Marilyn" of Atlanta, GA; three stepsons: Germany Brown of OK, Jerome Paskel of Crossett, AR, and Rodney Brown "Chiquinta" of Dallas, TX; three daughters, Seda Payne "Greg" of Crossett, AR, Flamecia Williams of Lake Providence, LA, and Ashley Rice of Hamburg, AR;, two step daughters, Roxanne Paskel and Dionna Singleton both of Crossett, AR, one brother, Malcolm Tyrone Peoples "LaTonya" of Springhill, LA; five sisters, Nerissa Jones "Marvin" of Monroe, LA, Rosalyn Wilson "Terry" of Dallas, TX, Sherye Bonnett, Tracy Bonnett, and Tykecia Bonnett all of Los Angeles, CA; fourteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at First Assembly of God Parkway Drive with Pastor Kenny Neal officiating. Pallbearers are Ricky Lewis, Eddie Earl Thompson, Joseph Monroe, Kenney Bonnett, Ricky Brown, and Gerald Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Mack Brown, Jr., Marvin Jones, Terry Wilson, and Elex Bonnett. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
