Mr. George Washington Tolefree, 74 of Crossett, AR, died Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the Ashley County Medical Center. Mr. Tolefree was a native of New Edinburg, AR, a Crossett resident, a retiree of Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill, and a Methodist. He was preceded in death by his parents: Enos & Janie Mark Tolefree and two brothers: Leon & Mark "M.J." Tolefree.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Pearlie Mae Crawford Tolefree, three sons: George Tolefree, Jr., of Malvern, AR, George Ellis Tolefree of Crossett, AR & Tory Tolefree of Detroit, MI, three step-sons: James Barrett of Columbus, OH, Cleve Barrett of Kinder, LA and Willie Love of Chambergurg, PA, four daughters: Felicia Tolefree of Okelika, AL, Rose Williams of Hamburg, AR, Jacqueline Tolefree and Teri (Tyrone) People both of Crossett, AR, two step-daughters: Betty White of Pine Bluff, AR & Crystal Love of Crossett, AR, two brothers, Rev. Levi (Ruth) Tolefree of Crossett, AR & James Tolefree of Rockford, IL, one sister, Vera Washington of Crossett, AR, thirty grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren.

Services are Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 11:00 AM at New Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Gregory C. Nettles, officiating. Visitation from 6-8 PM, Friday, August 28 at Cromwell Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Earnest Cromwell, Jr., Tyrone People, Christopher Washington, Randy Dupree, Carl Dupree & Charles Montgomery. Burial in Westview Cemetery.
