George Lee "Pitbull" Johnson, age 59, of Lake Village, AR passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at his home. He worked in Maintenance for Arkansas Parks and Recreation. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents George Lee Johnson and Lillian Kirkendolph; two brothers Willie Kirkendolph and Carl Applegate.

George enjoyed fishing, dancing, and going to church. He just truly enjoyed life and being around people. He never met a stranger.

He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Barbara McCory Johnson; one son Derrick Johnson of Kenosha, WI; two step-daughters Dasinique Henry and Sade Henry both of Lake Village, AR; one sister Lenora Freeman of Cleveland, OH; one grandchild Keontrae Gillmore, JR; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral Services 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 19, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church in Lake Village, AR with Pastor Caesar Paul King officiating. Pallbearers Seimon Jones Sr., Causey Dale Sharp Jr., Stacey Freeman, Brandon Freeman, Armond Hill, Billy Bell, and William Robinson. Honorary Pallbearers The Masons of Lake Village and David Gantt Sr.

Burial to follow at Woodson Temple Cemetery in Lake Village, AR.
