Dr. Gary F. Beasley, 65, a resident of Crossett, AR, lost his battle with cancer, October 19, 2009, at his home. He was born on July 3, 1944, to Eldridge Alton and Marie Rials Beasley in Hazlehurst, MS. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was a member of First Baptist Church, but was attending Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

He graduated from Copiah Lincoln Jr. College with an AS degree, Mississippi State University with a BS degree, The Ohio State University with a MS-PHD degree and did some additional work at Colorado State University. He was employed by Georgia-Pacific as Senior Training and Development Manager. He was preceded in death by his parents: Eldridge Alton and Marie Rials Beasley, and a brother, Skip Beasley.

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 28 years, Brenda Courson Beasley; three sons: Marc Beasley of Crossett, AR; Jon Beasley of Zachary, LA; Daniel Beasley of Whitehall, AR; two daughters: Tammy Binns of Bastrop, LA; Brandi & husband, Jeff Mann, of Warren, AR; one brother: Al & wife, Pat Beasley, of Byram, MS; one sister: Glenda & husband, John Hall, of Hazlehurst, MS; six grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Friday, October 23, 11 a.m., at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Bro. Eric Hodge and Bro. Clay Courson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, 5-8 p.m., at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Pallbearers are Eddie Courson, Greg Donald, Eric Snelgrove, Cory Snelgrove, Clint Snelgrove, and Andy Trichell. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Leigh, Kenny Leigh, John Little, Jim Garison, Raymond Roberts, Joe Don Greenwood, Powell Millard, Stacey Campbell, Robert Sturdivant, Mitch Chance, Steve Courson, Bill Rodgers and, his Agri Friends. Burial will follow at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home.
