December 25, 1951 – February 23, 2026
Fred "Tap" Belton Crocker, 74 of Huttig, AR, died Monday, February 23, 2026, at his home. He was a native of Huttig and a retiree of West Fraser Timber Company. Mr. Crocker was of the Methodist religion.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Crocker, one brother Ronald Smith, parents Fred Crocker, Sr., and Ethel Hall Smith. Fred enjoyed watching old westerns and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by three sons, Fredrick Crocker of Huttig, AR, Reginald Payton wife Raphaela of Eldorado, AR, and Marlon Crocker wife Shuniqua of Dallas, TX, one daughter, Felicia Brown husband Alex of Crossett, AR, five brothers, Henry Smith, Jr. wife Luisa of Manteca, CA, Edward Breggs of Virginia, Frankie Breggs wife Lisha of Huttig, AR, Renee Smith of Eldorado, AR, and Bobby Smith wife Brittney of Huttig, AR, two sisters, Porchia Crocker and Perry Billings husband Scotty both of Huttig, AR, fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday, February 28, 2026, at St. Andrews A.M.E. Church of Huttig at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Robert Thompson officiating. Active pallbearers are Stanley Sims, Christopher Sims, Scotty Billings, Corey Payne, Domenik Darden, Aderico Andrews, and De'Angelo Anderson. Burial in Huttig Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
