Obituary

Mrs. Florida Mae Smith, age 83, of Lake Village, AR died Saturday April 9, 2022, at the Chi St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, AR. She was a native of Natchez, MS but a resident of Lake Village, AR for the past 67 years. She was a retired cook and a member of Christian Liberty Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Smith JR; parents Jesse and Agnes Troby-Tyler; two brothers Cleo and Chester Tyler; four sisters Alma Tyler, Ira Jenkins, Ethel Tyler, and Allean Tyler. Mrs. Smith was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking and traveling.

She is survived by a son Gerald "Paul" Smith of Lake Village, AR; two daughters Jacqueline Taylor of Houston, TX and Sharon Walker, husband Andre of Hinesville, GA; eight brothers C.J. Tyler, wife Dorothy, James Tyler, Isiah Tyler, Charles wife Valinta Tyler of Dermott, AR, Jimmy Coleman of Alberta, Canada, Lee Tyler of Lake Village, Jesse, wife Shirley of Eudora, AR; four sisters Joanne Tyler of Milwaukee, WS, Glenda Tyler of Dermott, AR, Linda Robinson, husband Albert of Dermott, AR and Sarah Tyler of Camden, AR; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren

Funeral Service will be Saturday April 16 at 2 P.M. at the Central Community Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Moore officiating.

Burial will follow in the New Cemetery Lake Village, AR

Active pallbearers: Everett White, Marcus White, Anthony White JR, Jesse Tyler, Charles Tyler, and Matthew Smith

Honorary Pallbearers: Jimmie McCree, Anthony white SR, Wendell Tyler, Johnny Lee Tyler, Jerome Miles, Billy Ray Smith, and Gregory Anderson.
