Mr. Fate Johnson, 91 of Hamburg,AR, died Friday, April 10, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR. Mr. Johnson was an Ashley County native, a former resident of California, and a resident of Hamburg for the past 23 years. He was a retired janitor and of the Church of God In Christ faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fate & Willie Todd Johnson, two brothers, Willie & Robert Johnson and one sister, Alma Maker.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Doris Mae Johnson, four sons: James Johnson & Calvin Johnson both of Las Vegas, NV, Melvin Johnson of Washington, DC & Richard Johnson of Moreno Valley, CA, five daughters: Shirley Lee, Juanita Johnson & Christeen Johnson all of Moreno Valley, CA, Clarissa Johnson of Hamburg, AR & Bobbie Johnson of Los Angeles, CA, one brother, Clinton Johnson of Dermott, AR & twenty-one grandchildren.

Services are Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Cromwell Funeral Home with Eld. Jasper Mays, officiating. Pallbearers are Lawrence Stanley, Glenn Stanley, Jeffrey Donnell, Byron Lee, Ray Stanley & James Johnson. Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery.
