Mrs. Fannie Curtis, 88 of Crossett, AR died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Pinewood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Crossett. She was a native of Parkdale, a homemaker, and a member of Gates Chapel A.M.E. Church of Crossett. Mrs. Curtis loved her family, and enjoyed quilting and working in her flowers.
Proceeded in death by her husband, Willie Curtis, one son, Billy Joe Curtis, her parents, Richard and Fredonia Lassiter-Grayson, three brothers, Walter, Robert, and Thomas Grayson, two sisters, Marian Barns, and Lovey Coleman.
Survived by three sons, Herman "Bo" Curtis, wife Henrietta of Montrose, AR, Roy Curtis, wife Sheila of Crossett, Troy Curtis, wife Margaret of Kansas City, MO, four daughters, Susie Reed, husband John, Mabelean Curtis both of Crossett, Bernice Sharp of Rockford, IL, Mattie Hardway, husband Joe of Memphis, TN, one brother, Willie Grayson of Memphis, TN, twenty seven grandchildren, forty nine great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral service is Friday, March 30, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Gates Chapel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Harold White officiating. Pallbearers are Raymond Clark, George Brown, Johnny Dupree, Donald Flentroy, Herman Newton, and Lumas Blakley. Honorary Pallbearers are Bryon Miles, Mariano Reed, Calvin Curtis, Anthony Curtis, Joseph Hardway, Jr., and Marvin Hardway. Visitation is Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 6-8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial in Westview Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
