Ezell Mays, age 80 of Crossett, AR transitioned to eternal life Monday February 20, 2023, at Ashley County Medical Center. He was a native of Portland, AR, and a member of the Church of Christ. He enjoyed artwork (sketching), math, auto mechanics, and going to horse/dog track races.

Mr. Mays was preceded in death by his parents Nathaniel "Sam" and Mamie King Mays, five brothers Otis, Manuel, Harden, William, and Samuel Mays, five sisters Ogea Washington, Mahalia Mays, Mary Eliza Bowden, Arvella Morrison, and Nona Rice.

He leaves to cherish his memory one sister Marie Mays Travis, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Graveside service will be Wednesday March 1, 2023, at 11 AM. Visitation will be 10:30-11 AM before service at Westview Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Ware officiating. Honorary Pallbearers, Aubrey L. Morrison, James Michael Travis, Christopher Morrison, Milton Bowden, Allen R. Hollins, Andrew Mays, and William L. Dumas. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.

The family would like to thank Stonegate Villa Health and Rehabilitation Center for providing excellent care to Mr. Ezell Mays, while he was in their facility.
