Obituary

Everlean Johnson, age 63 of Wilmot, AR, died Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village, AR. She was a native of Wilmot but lived in Los Angeles for 25 years then returning back home to Wilmot for the past 20 years.   Ms. Johnson was a retired certified nurse's assistant and a member of the First Baptist Church in Wilmot.

She was preceded in death by her father, Zelma Lee Johnson and mother, Hester Brown; three brothers, Zelma Johnson, Jr., Sammie Lee Johnson and Ladell Johnson and one sister, Martha Lee Johnson-Vaughn. Everlean enjoyed working with children although she never had any of her own.  She also enjoyed writing and performing in plays at her church as well as ushering.  She was a people person who never met a stranger and an inspiration to all who knew her.

She is survived by one brother, John H. Johnson of Los Angeles, CA; one sister, Mary Johnson Riley (Bobby) of Hot Springs, AR and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services are 10:00AM on Saturday, January 6 th at First Baptist Church in Wilmot with Rev. William Freeman officiating.  Pallbearers are Chester Owns, Herbert Shelton, Kenneth Evans, Eugene Thomas, Demarcus William and Calvin Duckery.  Honorary pallbearers are Deacons and Trustees of First Baptist Church.  Burial in Gospel Temple Cemetery in Wilmot.  Visitation will be 1:00 to 5:00PM Friday, January 5th at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
