Mrs. Evelyn Cleary, age 73, of Dermott, AR, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR. She was a native of Boydell, AR, but was a resident of Dermott, a homemaker and a member of Full Gospel Outreach Ministry.

She is preceded in death by her husband Julius Cleary, son, Joe Nathan Hicks, daughter-in-law Novell Hicks, parents, Will and Clara Bluford-Carolina, four brothers, James, Lewis, William and Jewel Carolina, three sisters, Dorothy Bethune, Nebraska Carolina and Murial Watts. Mrs. Cleary loved flowers, fishing, watching old western movies and loved her family.

She is survived by one daughter: Patricia Simmons, husband Ronald of Killeen, TX; one brother: Henry Carolina, wife Virgil of Montrose, AR; four sisters: Johnnie Mae Oliver of Milwaukee, WI; Monzella Ravel of Detroit, MI; Aretha Moseby of Portland, AR; Teretha Woods of Montrose, AR, two grandchildren: Terrance Hicks, D'Kristopher Simmons, special friend: Andrez Deshazer and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Services are 11:00AM Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel, Hwy 82 East, Hamburg, AR 71646 with Elder Jack Woods, Sr., officiating. Pallbearers are Nickey Hawkins, Teddy Hawkins, Lee Edward Plummer, Chester Dunn, Charles Hawkins and Jimmy Joe Brown. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Boydell, AR.
