Mrs. Eula Virginia Bankston, 91, of Wilmot, AR, died Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at West Carroll Memorial Hospital.  She was a lifelong resident of Wilmot, was a certified nurses' assistant at Place Nursing Home in Wilmot, and a member of Morning Star Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Odell Bankston; a son, James Bankston; a daughter, Pearlean Parker; a grandson, Andre Grant; her parents, Norman and Nancy Overton-Tharpe; two brothers, Sammie Lee and Frank Tharpe; two sisters, Annie Orange, and Beatrice Slack.  Mrs. Bankston was a devoted mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing, working in her flower garden, and going to church.

She is survived by three sons, Norman Grant(Norma), Alfred Pace(Elaine), both of Santa Rosa, CA, and Curtis Bankston, of Chicago, IL; four daughters, Melvin Armstrong(Cecil), of Greenbrier, AR, Betty Jean Cape(Anthony), of Santa Rosa, CA, Erma Jean Cole(Ricky), of District Height, MD, and Sandra Fowler(Vincent), of Grandview, MO; two brothers, Freddie Lee Tharpe, of Crossett, AR, and Matthew Tharpe, of Chicago, IL; one sister, Pearlean Tharpe-Rent, of Wilmot, AR; twenty-eight grandchildren, sixty-five great grandchildren, twenty great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Service will be Saturday, December 22, 2018, 11:00 A.M., at First Baptist Church in Wilmot with Rev. Amborse Dozart officiating.  Active Pallbearers are Dekevious Fowler, Traveion Fowler, Roger Bankston, Jr., Jawaskai Grant, Jeremy Grant, and Ricky Bankston.  Honorary Pallbearers are Norman Grant, Vincent Fowler, Anthony Cape, Cecil Armstrong, and Alfred Pace.  Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.

Visitation will be Friday, December 21, 2018, 6-7:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
