Mrs. Ernestine McCrory-Boyd, 80, of Crossett, AR died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, AR. She was a native of Silas, MS. She was a retiree of the Hamburg Shirt Factory and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Boyd, two sons, Billy Ray and Billy Wayne Bridges, one daughter, Wanda Gail Bridges-Bond, one granddaughter, Misty Bridges and her parents, James Ervin and Mozell McCrory, two brothers, Allen Curtis McCrory and Doyle Dewayne McCrory, one sister, Vivan Christine Vaughn. Mrs. Boyd was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved entertaining her family and enjoyed working in her yard.
She is survived by one son, Gary Bridges, wife Laurene of Crossett, AR; three daughters, Janice Grayson, husband Joe of Star City, AR, Ann Bridges and Julie Kelley both of Crossett, AR, two sisters, Dorothy L. Malkey of Pine Bluff, AR and Earline Graham of Lake Village, AR, fourteen grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are Saturday, December 12th at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. Brother Carlton White, officiating. Pallbearers are Donald Matthew, Stevie Cotton, Jonathan Smith, Lane Jenkins, Ray Brazile and Barry Morgan. Honorary Pallbearers are Donald Barnett and David Edwards. Burial is in Montrose Cemetery.
Visitation Friday, December 11 from 6-8:00 PM in the Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel.
