Ernestine Arrington, 74 of Hamburg, AR, died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Pinewood Health & Rehabilitation. She was a life-long resident of Hamburg, a retired CNA, and of the Baptist Faith. Ernestine enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower garden, fishing, and learning how to operate computers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louise Arrington, parents, Luchen and Mary Williams-Taylor, and her adopted parents, Sam and Fannie Bennett who raised her.
She is survived by one son, Johnny Ray Bennett of Hamburg, two step-sons, Ricky Arrington, wife Debra of Little Rock, AR, Curtis Arrington of Dallas, TX, three daughters, Florine Jasper of Hamburg, AR, Teresa Brown, husband Charles of Gary, IN, Karen Arrington of Pine Bluff, AR, two step-daughters, Nadine Parker of Hamburg, AR, Ruby Edward-Brown of Lake Village, AR, one sister, Helen Tucker of Crossett, AR, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Green officiating. Pallbearers are Tyrone Bennett, Ray Charles Tucker, Curtis Toliver, Jr., Arnold Parks, Marvin Hart, and Ricky Arrington. Visitation is Saturday, May 11, 2012 from 6-7:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
