Ernest Perell Hampton, 58 of Crossett, AR, transitioned Thursday, August 6, 2026, at his sister's residence. He was born in Little Rock, but grew up in Crossett. He was a former resident of Maumelle, AR, belonged to the Baptist faith, and worked as a welder.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Hampton, a son, Travon Hampton, and a daughter, Asia Randle. Perell loved music and often served as a DJ. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Hampton of Maumelle, AR, two sons, Deonte and Dontarius Hampton both of Houston, TX, daughter Kierra Hampton of Ft. Worth, TX, mother, Mary Withers and partner Robert Daniels of Crossett, AR, two brothers, Danny and wife Darlene Todd of Pike Road, AL, and Willie Smith of Crossett, AR, two sisters, Patricia and husband Willie Brown of Crossett, AR, and Laqueisea Oliver of Clarksville City, TX, a special uncle, Ernest Logan of Crossett, AR, and several other relatives and friends.

Visitation is Friday, August 14, 2026, from 5:00-6:00 P.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service is Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Holly Springs Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. Reverend Clifford Hawkins will officiate. Pallbearers are Kane Webb, Brucus Minniweather, Ronald J. Williams, Norman Hughes, Francisco Gonzalez, and Saquan Mason. Burial in Ryles Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, Arkansas.
