Emma Jean Crow Cornelius, 78 of Crossett, AR transitioned on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Ashley County Medical Center. She was a native of Gurdon, AR, but a resident of Crossett for the past fifty-two years. Mrs. Cornelius was a retired school librarian, a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she served as church pianist and a member of Sunday School class #2. She was a member of Professional Alliance of Women and a member of Silver Star #306 Order of Eastern Stars and served as past Grand Matron.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, Robert Earl Cornelius; son, Robert E. Cornelius, Jr.; grandson, Robert E. Cornelius III; one sister, Rose Crow, two brothers, Terry and Lawrence Crow, and her parents, Andrew Elmo and Velma Lee Crow. She loved spending time with her family, going to church, singing, and playing the piano.

She is survived by one daughter, Staci Cornelius of Crossett, AR, stepdaughter, Shirlene Cornelius of Camden, AR, grandchildren, Stalyn Cornelius, Jaylyn & James Hampton, and step grandson Brandon Smith, other family members, and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 5:00-6:00 pm at Cromwell Funeral Home in Hamburg, AR. Funeral Service will be Friday, June 12, 2026, at 11:00 am at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Michelangelo Watkins officiating. Pallbearers are Marlis Brown, Colon Sims, Michael Sims, James Tucker, David Smith, and Steve Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers Silver Star #306 Order of Eastern Stars. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
