Mr. Elvin Webb, 67 of Crossett died Sunday, October 17, 2010 at his home. He was a retired truck driver for Silver State Disposal in Las Vegas Nevada. He was a member of Hunters Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he also loved carpentry work.

He was preceded in death by his parents: J. B. and Sallie Franklin Webb and one brother: Parnell Rochelle.

He is survived by his wife of 4 years: Sue Staten Webb of Crossett; six sons: Darby Webb, Daryl Webb and wife Bertha, Doyle Webb and wife April, and Derrick Webb all of Crossett, Nicholas Webb and wife Dana, and Gregory Ford and wife Felicia both of Las Vegas, Nevada; one daughter Grindle Webb Hamlett of Crossett; four sisters: Otha Webb and husband Elder Depriest Webb and Robbie Gibbs both of Las Vegas, Nevada, Eunice Griffin and husband Willie of Crossett, and Gracie Clark of Oakland, California; twenty-four grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 22, 2010 at 1:00P.M. at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Wilton Baines officiating. Active pallbearers are Jimmy Griffin, Clifton Hawkins, Jr., Preston Hawkins, James Hampton, Johnny Lee Hampton, and Larry Rogers. Honorary pallbearers are the Crooked Creek Hunting Club. Visitation will be Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 6:00-7:00P.M. at Cromwell Funeral Home. Interment will be at Palestine Cemetery in Johnsville under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg.
