Eld. Leetell "Sonny" Jenkins, 82 of Hamburg, AR, died Friday, May 1, 2009 at Cherry Ridge Nursing Home in Bastrop, LA. Eld. Jenkins was a lifelong resident of Ashley County, a retiree of Georgia Pacific Plywood Mill, a retired minister, and a member of First Pentecostal Church of MIlo. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona "Bug" Jenkins in May 2007, one daughter, Delores Jenkins, his parents, Mack & May Bell King Jenkins, three brothers: Willie Charles, Birman & Jessie Jenkins & two sisters, Mae Ella Barnett & Virdell Jenkins.

He is survived by three sons: Lee Terry Jenkins, Leetell (Dorothy) Jenkins, Jr. & Carl Jenkins all of Hamburg, AR (Milo Community), one daughter, Barbara Williams of Hamburg, AR, six brothers: Dorchester Jenkins of Gary, IN, Willie (Mary) Jenkins of Indianapolis, IN, Mack (Louella) Jenkins, Samuel (Jessie Mae) Jenkins, Searcy (Mary) Jenkins & Bishop Marvin (Jessie) Jenkins all of Hamburg, AR, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Christ Temple Pentecostal Church with Bishop Alphonso Madden, officiating. Pallbearers are Calvin Barnett, Troy Paskel, Samuel Jenkins, Charles Barnett, David Jenkins & McCoy Franklin. Honorary were the AR District Council 18th Episcopal District of PAW, Inc. Burial in Lacey Cemetery.
