Mr. Eddie Lee Colbert, 72, of Crossett, AR passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, AR.  He was a lifelong resident of Crossett, AR, a retiree of International Paper Mill, and a member of First Baptist Church on Martin Luther King Drive in Crossett.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Dorris Jean Mayweather-Colbert, in February of 2013; a son, Derrick Colbert; a daughter, Sabrina Colbert; his parents, Elihu and Rosie Lee Bates-Colbert; two sisters, Lula Mae Colbert-Ford and Lucille Colbert-Shelby.  Eddie was an avid sports fan.  Dallas Cowboys was his favorite football team.  He also enjoyed basketball and baseball.

He is survived by one grandson, Xavier Colbert, of Balch Springs, TX; one granddaughter, Lauren Colbert, of Balch Springs, TX; two step-sons, Jimmie Lee Mayweather, of Camden, AR, and Aaron Lee, of Dallas, TX; two step-daughters, Donna Bunn and Regina Mayweather, both of Camden, AR; one sister, Erma Brown, husband Harry, of Stephens, AR; one aunt, Justine Colbert of Richmond, CA; a special friend, Jerlean Jackson of Collinston, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Services will be Saturday, August 25, 2018, at 11:00 AM, at First Baptist Church on Martin Luther King Drive in Crossett, AR with Pastor Curtis Jackson officiating.  Active Pallbearers are LaFrance Colbert, Harlon Colbert, Lawrence Crift, George Reed, Bobby Dale Jackson, Tony Allen, Lloyd Collins, and Allen Jordan.  Burial will be at Westview Cemetery in Crossett.

Viewing will be Friday, August 23, 2018, from 1:00PM-5:00PM at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc. in Hamburg, AR.
