Mrs. Dorris Jean Colbert, 65 of Crossett, AR, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at her residence. She was a native of Camden, AR, a resident of Crossett for the past 35 years, a retired CNA and a member of First Baptist Church on Florida Street.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shakyra Colbert, one granddaughter, Jasmine P. Mayweather, a step-son, Derrick Colbert, a step-daughter, Sabrina Colbert, her parents, Harvey & Lillie B. Ingram Mayweather and two brothers, Clifford Wiggins & Harvey Mayweather, Jr.

An entertainer and spiritual joy to her family and friends, she knew how to bring laughter and fun to any environment.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Mr. Eddie Lee Colbert, two sons: Jimmie Lee Mayweather of Camden, AR, Aaron Lee of Dallas, TX, two daughters, Regina Mayweather & Donna Ellis of Crossett, AR, one brother, Kenneth Mayweather of Dallas, TX, seven sisters: DeLores F. Wimberly of Crossett, AR, Mary Mayweather of Buffalo, NY, Tina Mayweather & Sherry Mayweather of Camden, AR, Gloria Dawn, husband Robert and LaReta Mayweather all of Dallas, TX & Helen Hawkins, husband William of Houston, TX, nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services are Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church on Florida Street with Rev. Dominic Mayweather, officiating. Pallbearers are Milton Gaston, Charles Moore, James Adams, Tony Allen, David Childress & Freddie Hargraves. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth, Brandon and Jimmie Mayweather, Jeremy Ellis, Aaron Lee, Roderick Ellis & Marcus Taylor. Burial in Westview Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
