Mrs. Dorothy Jane Tippie, age 84, of Hamburg, AR passed away Friday, January 6, 2017 at Belle View Estates Rehabilitation and Care Center in Monticello, AR. She was a native of Itta Bena, MS, a resident of Hamburg for the past 65 years, a Nurse's Aide, and a member of the Christ Temple Pentecostal Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Maggie Cox-Johnson, and one sister, Ann Robinson. Mrs. Tippie was faithful to her church as long as her health permitted. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, sewing, and quilting. She was truly an inspiration to all who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memories a former husband, Lawrence Tippie of Hamburg, AR; to whom three sons were born, Larry Tippie wife Monica of Hamburg, AR; Lawrence Tippie, Jr. wife Phyllis of Cedar Hill, TX; Utroy Tippie of Hamburg, AR; four grandchildren, Shanika Tippie, Dwight Tippie, Damien Tippie and Camilla Tippie, one great-grandchild, Jayla Tippie, and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be held 11:00AM Friday, January 13, 2017 at Christ Temple Pentecostal Church, 813 N Pine Street, Hamburg, AR 71646 with Bishop Alfonso Madden, officiating. Active Pallbearers are William Tippitt, Terry Lee Rucker, Michael Cox, Barron Johnson, Carl Lewis, and Clyde Leonard. Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Cox Jr., Ronald Hubbard, Adolphus Foster, Shurun Jenkins, Jessie Simpson, and Anthony Smith. Burial in Johnson Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 5:30PM-6:30PM at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
