Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth Spencer, 98, of Fountain Hill, AR died Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR. She was a native of Monroe, LA, a homemaker, a member of Christ Temple Pentecostal Church, and a member of Faith Chapter 197 Order of the Eastern Star.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Henry Spencer, Sr.; two sons, Lee Andrew Kelley and Willie Charles Spencer; two daughters, Ruby Lee Spencer and Lois Hudson; her parents, George and Dellie Hill; three brothers, William Grayson, Ellie Moy, Jr. and Julius Hill; and three sisters, Ruby Lewis, Elmira William, and Willie Mae Byrd. Mrs. Spencer loved going to church and enjoyed watching TV and talking on the phone with family and friends. She was also the oldest member of the Shazzy Fitness Class.
She is survived by one son, Jim Henry Spencer, Jr., wife Mae, of Bastrop, LA; one daughter, Ollie Spencer, of Bastrop, LA; one granddaughter that she raised, Dorothy Mae Jenkins, husband Leetell, of Fountain Hill, AR; forty-two grandchildren; one hundred great grandchildren; and a host of great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Graveside service will be Friday, August 21, 2020, 11 a.m., at H.V. Adams Cemetery, Bastrop, LA, with Bishop Alfonzo Madden officiating. Honorary Pallbearers are her grandsons, Ulish Haynes, Jr., Roosevelt Jones, Sr., Robert Douglas, Andrew Spencer, Corey Spencer, Travis Dovall, Travorea Young, Maurice Spencer, and Rodney Harrell.
A walk-through visitation will be held Thursday, August 20, 2020, 4:00-5:00 p.m., at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
