December 14, 1962 – June 30, 2021
Dorothy Ann Hargraves, age 58 of Montrose, AR passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Lake Village. She is a native of Dermott, AR, but raised and lived in Montrose. She was a maintenance aid II for the Arkansas Department of Transportation. She was a member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Hurd, AR.
Dorothy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing softball and loved watching Lifetime television.
She is preceded in death by her father Ray Lee Hargraves in Feb. 2017; sisters Edna Mae Coleman in April 2021, and Josephine Baptist; brothers James Woods and Ray Charles Hargraves.
She survived by her children, two sons; Landriel Woods of Montrose, AR, Michael Hargraves of Monticello, AR; a daughter Lakeisha Hargraves of Monticello, AR; a godson Jamarion Savage of Montrose, AR; her mother Erma Lee Johnson of Milwaukee, WI; twelve brothers Robert Coleman JR, Curtis Benford and wife Tarsha, both of Milwaukee, WI, Charles Woods and wife Earnestine of Lake Providence, LA, Ronnie Hargraves of Colorado, Kenny Lewis of Minnesota, Demetris Woods of Texarkana, TX, Brian Hardin of Little Rock, AR, Wayne Hargraves and wife Leslie of California, Vincent Ray Wolfe of New Mexico, Roy Hargraves of North Carolina, Earl Nicholson of Arkansas, and Brandon Logan of New York; thirteen sisters Gloria Warren and husband Odell of Wilmar, AR, Latonyia Coleman, Roxanne Coleman both of Milwaukee, WI, Lesly Bradford and husband Corry of Dermott, AR, Yolander Shaw and husband Gregory of Tennessee, Dorothy Washington of Parkdale, AR, Sheila Lewis of Davenport, IA, Brenda Woods of Little Rock, AR, Diane Thomas, Barbara Handy and husband Horace, Lisa Hargraves all of California, Cynthia Myrie and husband Peter, Andrea Rose and husband Steve all of Illinois.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Hurd, AR with Rev. Lucan Hargraves. Pallbearers are Charles Moony, Nathan Simmons, Shaquille Wesbest, Donavan Peoples, Ralph Watson, Larry Woods Jr with honorary pallbearers being The Arkansas Department of Transportation and her nephews.
Burial will follow in the Montrose Cemetery in Montrose, AR.
There will be no visitation.
