Dorothy Marie Gilbert Davis, 81 of Crossett, AR died Friday, May 15, 2020 at Drew Memorial Hospital. She was native of Crossett, past resident of Summit, IL for several years, a retiree of A C Delco Company, and a member of Gates Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ray Davis (2012), her parents, Ellis Gilbert and Lula Bea Hawkins Baker, and one brother, William Gilbert.  Dorothy enjoyed shopping, traveling and visiting with her friends.  She also loved playing dominos and spades.

She is survived by a son, Tony Newton of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Gale Williams, husband Steve, of Vacaville, CA; two grandchildren, Qiana Newton and Dominic Newton; one great grandchild Jayana Lewis; and a host of cousins and friends.

Graveside services are Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Harriel White officiating.  Active Pallbearers are Glen Newton, Archie Jones, Johnny Hughes, Delmar Reed, Bernard Martin, and Tony Allen.

Viewing will be from 1:00-5:00 Friday, May 22, 2020 at the funeral home.

Cromwell Funeral Home will follow CDC precautions during this Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.  Visitation will be carefully screened to 10 people at a time and funeral will be limited to 50 people.  Social Distancing is still highly recommended .
