Obituary

Dorothy Brown age 69, of Crossett passed away Thursday April 13, 2023, at Stonegate Villa Health and Rehabilitation. She was a native of Thebes, Arkansas but a resident of Crossett for many years. She was a retired custodian of Ashley County Medical Center and a member of Hunters Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son Dedrick Brown (2000), an infant daughter Keshia Brown (1975), her parents Paul and Mildred Miller-Dupree, two sisters Nora Brown and Ella Wood, and brother Saul Dupree.

Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love for her family was undeniable. She enjoyed shopping, fishing, and cooking.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years Lee Fred Brown, two sons, Michael Brown wife Jannelle of Crossett, and Rodney Brown of Monroe, Louisiana, one brother Frankie Dupree of Lake Village, Arkansas, two sisters Obie Jean Clark husband Freddy of Tracy, California and Kay Johnson of Crossett, Arkansas. Thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be Saturday April 22, 2023 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church on Martin Luther King Drive with Pastor Quintin Radford officiating. Active Pallbearers James Evans, EJ Holmes, Marcus Brown, Thurman Brown Jr., Larry Woods Jr., and Carmon Holmes. Honorary Pallbearers TGH Hunting Club. Burial will be at Westview Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, Arkansas.
