Doris Brantley-White, 88 of Crossett, AR, died Wednesday, May 24, 2012 at her residence in Crossett. She was a native and life-long resident of Crossett, a foster grandparent, and a member of Beech Street Baptist Church. Mrs. White loved spending time working in her yard.

Proceeded in death by her husband, Van Frank "Billy" White, daughter, Sharon Gail Ambrose, and grandson, Michael Van Ambrose.

Survived by one son, Van Frank White, wife Kay of Arkadelphia, AR, two daughters, Billie Sue White, husband Scott Peck of Crossett, AR, Barbara Lynn Townsend, husband Danny of Knoxville, AR, one brother, Travis Brantley of Crossett, AR, one sister, Sarah Wright of Crossett, AR, one granddaughter she raised, Jessica Aytes, husband Bryan of Conway, AR, seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and a host of other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Funeral service is Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Beech Street Baptist Church with Bro. Donnie Dubose officiating. Pallbearers are Scott Peck, Larry Land, John Krogstad, Darren Brantley, Aaron Toney and Van White III. Burial in Beekman Cemetery in Beekman, LA, under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
