Dennis Ray Girtman, 71 of Eldorado, AR formerly of Hamburg, AR transitioned Thursday, August 27, 2026, at his home surrounded by family. He was a native of Hamburg, of the Baptist faith, and a retiree of Ashley, Drew, & Northern Railroad.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Cornelius Sr. and Elizabeth Girtman, one brother, Donald Girtman; and three sisters: Annie Mae Cook, Francis Robinson, and Julia Merritt. Dennis enjoyed fishing, traveling, and talking on the phone with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-eight years Carolyn Girtman, one son, Undra Reynolds and wife Lakesha of Crossett, AR, one brother, Cornelius Girtman, Jr. of Crossett, AR; and two sisters, Brenda Martin of Augusta, GA. and Debra Sodie of Colony, TX, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Graveside Service will be Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Nimmons Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Clifford Hawkins officiating. Pallbearers are Edward C. Brown, Walter Jenkins, Colon Sims, Lee Nimmer, Reggie Martin, and Charles Culbreath. Burial will follow in Nimmons Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
