Mr. Dennis Ragan Blackstock, age 66, of Baton Rouge, LA passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 in Tulsa, OK. He was a native of Jonesboro, LA, a former resident of Monroe, LA and Baton Rouge, LA for several years, an Insurance Salesman, Restaurant Manager and of the Baptist Faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lona Plunkett-Blackstock, five brothers, Jack, Harold, Kenneth, Cecil, and David Blackstock, two sisters, Beaulah Herron and Hazel Walpole. Mr. Blackstock was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather and in his younger years he excelled in sports.

He is survived by two sons: Shane Blackstock wife Rhonda of Broken Arrow, OK; Damon Blackstock wife Lena of Gadsden, AL; one daughter: LeAnna Blackstock-Blanchard of Longmont, CO; two sisters: Inez Herron of Crossett, AR and Lillian Breedlove Sims of Lake Village, AR; nine grandchildren: Cody, Ashley, Amber and Dylan Blackstock, Heaven and Gabby Blanchard, Brittany Thompson-Blackstock, Elise Blackstock-Adamson, Alexis Blackstock, one great-grandchild: Trent Adamson, and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be held 11:00AM Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Rolfe Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Carlton White and Bro. Dale Doss, officiating. Pallbearers are Shane Blackstock, Damon Blackstock, Cody Blackstock, Dylan Blackstock, Joe Breedlove and Wayne Herron. Burial in Rolfe Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 2, 2016 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Rolfe Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, 786 Hwy 82 W, Crossett, AR 71635.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made to the Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc. in Mr. Blackstock's name.
