Deloris Whaley, age 88, of Crossett, AR died Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at her home in Crossett. She was a native of Mobile, AL. She was a retiree of GP Papermill where she worked in the shipping department. She was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Leon Whaley (Feb. 2017); a son Leon Whaley Jr.; a daughter Linda Whaley Morrison; parents Eugene Sellers and Ellen Overton Sellers Rogers; stepfather John Rogers; five brothers, James Sellers, Eugene Sellers Jr., Johnny Sellers, Edward Rogers, and John Rogers Jr; and one sister, Rosie L. Brown.

Mrs. Whaley loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and working in her yard.

She is survived by one son, Carl Whaley, wife Marilyn of Crossett, AR; five daughters, Betty Moore, Ruby Benton, Helen Morris, husband George, Cheryl Whaley, and Alicia Whaley all of Crossett, AR; one brother, Terence Rogers, wife Annette of Hinesville, GA; 11 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Graveside Services 2:00 pm Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Westview Cemetery in Crossett, AR with Rev. Jesse Radford Jr. officiating. Pallbearers Rodney Whaley, Marlon Moore, Charles Jenkins, Don Streeter, Eddie Streeter, and Charles Haynes. Honorary Pallbearers Edward Rogers Jr., Danny Lowe, Emmit Prince, BJ McCullough, Rev. Eddie Dean Montgomery, and Raymond Waters.
