David Lee Johnson, 52 of Montrose, AR, died Friday, December 9, 2011 at his residence in Montrose. He was a lifelong resident of Montrose, a retired construction worker, and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Johnson was an avid outdoorsman who loved barbequing, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Pearlie Lee Shelton-Johnson, three brothers, Charlie Jr., Michael, Nathan Johnson, and his grandparents.
He was survived by three sons, David Lee Johnson, Jr. of Hamburg, AR, Eric Demond Johnson of Pine Bluff, AR, Shakarry Odell Johnson of Montrose, AR, one brother, Malcolm Johnson of Conway, AR, six sisters, Pearlie Johnson of Montrose, AR, Annetha Downs, Patricia Dickerson, Mazie Pitts, husband Larry, Stelia Stanley, husband Elijah, and Elnora Washington all of Hamburg, AR, and a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Emmanuel C.O.G.I.C. with Bishop Danny Mays officiating. Pallbearers are Terrell Moris, Kintus Mooney, David Henderson, Donald Simpson, Nick Curtis, Troy Webb, Chris Mays, and Wayne Pugh. Honorary Pallbearers are Willie Stanley, Earnest Cromwell, Jr., Jesse James, and Jamme Kazee. Viewing is Friday, December 16, 2011 from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Burial in Montrose Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
