David Michael Ellis, affectionately known as  "Black Diamond", 63 of Crossett, AR died Thursday, June 9, 2022 at his home. He was a lifelong resident of Crossett, a retired maintenance worker of Somerset Nursing Home, and was of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Virgie Mae Ellis. Three brothers, James Edward, Willie Elmer, and Charles Ray Ellis. Black Diamond loved his family and friends. He loved visiting with his nieces and nephews and fellowshipping with his friends. He liked to tell jokes and laugh.

He was survived by three brothers William Glen (Linda) Ellis of Crossett, AR, Cleveland Ellis of Little Rock, Carlos Ellis of Collierville, TN, one sister Cheryl Walker of Monroe, LA and one adopted sister Sheila Ellis of Mansfield TX, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Service will be graveside, Friday, June 17,2022 at 11:00 AM at Westview Cemetery with Reverend Harriel White officiating. Burial will follow.

Pallbearers are Troy Webb, Cain Webb, Nakia Hawkins, Edgar Cotton, Derrick Ellis, and Michael Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews.
