Darryl William
Hawkins
April 6, 1995 – September 10, 2017
Darryl William Hawkins, age 22 of Frisco, Texas, died on Sunday, September 10, 2017 in Plano, TX. He was a member of One Community Church where he was an active leader and served for special needs children at the daycare as well as participating in various groups including the 2:52 Youth Organization. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and socializing with family and friends. Darryl was a 'people person' who loved animals.
His educational career began at Cockrill Middle School where he was elected president of the student body. At a young age, he had always been a leader. When he attended McKinney Boyd High School, he became president of the student council as well. He also participated in the marching band as a tuba player. He graduated from Boyd in 2013 and proceeded to attend Universal Technical Institute to pursue his love for cars. He graduated from there in 2015 to then further his education at BMW specialty school in Phoenix, AZ. There he was chosen among his peers to be the class leader and speaker upon their graduation in 2015. He started his career at BMW as a technician in San Antonio, TX. After working as a technician for a year, he realized that he didn't like getting his hands dirty so he then decided to move back home to be closer to his parents and therefore he accepted the position as a sales associate at David McDavid in Plano, TX. His promotions continued and his life ended as service advisor at Hendrick Volkswagen of Frisco.
Mr. Hawkins was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leon & Helen Moore and his paternal grandparents, William Henry & Mary Hawkins.
