Mr. Darford Lee Williams, 56 of Crossett, AR, died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at John H. McClellan Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was a lifelong resident of Crossett, a former fork lift driver and a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He served his country in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis G. Williams, his uncle & aunt who raised him, Fred & Gertrude Wimberly. Darford was an avid fisherman, he loved people.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Jerry "Polly" Toliver Williams, two sons: Anthony Woods, wife Betty of Bastrop, LA, Timothy Goree, wife Kimberly of Arlington, TX, one daughter, Kizzy Wallace, husband Carlo of Monroe, LA, his mother, Betty Jo Smith of Crossett, AR, five brothers: Arnold Williams of Los Angeles, CA, Earnest Sanders, wife Kim of Little Rock, AR, Thomas Sanders, wife Sharon of North Little Rock, AR, Louis K. Williams and Louis Garland Williams, Jr., ten sisters, Gloria Pernell of Aurora, IL, Amanda Phillips, Sherri Williams, Garlenia Williams, Shenese Simon, Marilyn Williams, Lakoya Williams, Laquisha Williams Wong, Pamela Williams Lee and Natasha Williams and six grandchildren.

Funeral services are Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11:00 am at New Bethel Missionary Baptist with Rev. Charles Adkins & Rev. Ulysses Robinson, III, officiating. Pallbearers are Carlo Wallace, Timothy Goree, Melvin Nalls, Jr., Tony Ray Williams, Jimmy Thornton & Robert Foreman. Burial in Westview Cemetery under the directions of Cromwell Funeral Home of Hamburg, AR.
