Obituary

Mr. Curtis Ray Bankston, 66, of Wilmot, AR died Saturday, January 25, 2020, at Chicot Memorial Hospital.  He was a lifelong resident of Wilmot, a retired farm laborer, and a member of Morning Star Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Odell and Eula Virginia Tharpe-Bankston; two brothers, James Bankston and Fred Bankston; and three sisters, Pearlean Bankston-Parker, Deloise Bankston, and Earnestine Bankston.

He is survived by his daughter, Tangela Ellison, of Dallas, TX; two brothers, Norman Grant (Norma), and Alfred Pace (Elaine) both of Santa Rosa, CA; five sisters, Lillie Bankston, of Little Rock, AR, Melvin Armstrong (Cecil) of Greenbrier, AR; Betty Jean Grant-Cape (Anthony), of Santa Rosa, CA, Erma Jean Cole, of Riverdale, MD, and Sandra Fowler (Vincent), of Grandview, MO;  and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral service will be Friday, February 7, 2020, 1:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church, 428 Church St. Wilmot, AR, with Rev. Albert Fenceroy officiating.  Active Pallbearers are Leonard Slack, Mark Bankston, Herbert Smith, Ricky Bankston, Roger Bankston, and Dominique Bankston.  Honorary Pallbearers are Norman Grant, Alfred Pace, George Drew, Author Alexander, Lucky Houston, and Anthony Cape.  Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
