Craven Johnson 'CJ' Tyler, 89 of Dermott, AR, died Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Dermott City Nursing Home.  He was a native of Natchez, Mississippi, and a resident of Dermott, AR. He was a retired cotton farmer and landscaper, and a member of Woodson Temple Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille Tyler, one daughter, Rose Lee Tyler, three sons, Roy Lee Tyler, Ben Edward Tyler, and Gregory Jones, his parents, Jesse and Agnes Proby Tyler, one brother, Cleo Tyler, four sisters, Ira Bell Jenkins, Alma Tyler, Florida Smith, and Annie Mae Gaines.  'CJ' loved playing his harmonica and guitar and working in his yard and garden.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-two and one half years, Doris Tyler, three sons, Thomas and wife Shirley Jones of Laguna Beach, CA, Ricky and wife Carmen Jones of Monticello, AR, and David and wife Sherita Jones of Dermott, AR, nine daughters, Mary Tyler, Betty Cole and Edna and husband Roy Porter all of Lake Village, AR, Dorothy Tyler, Reda Tyler, and Central Tyler all of Monticello, AR, Vivian Tyler and Sharon Tyler both of Dermott, AR, and Dorothy and husband Leroy Sims of Star City, AR, seven brothers, James Tyler, Isaiah Tyler, and Charles and wife Valentina Tyler all of Dermott, AR, Windell Tyler of Lake Village, AR, Jesse Tyler and wife Shirley of Eudora, AR, Johnny Lee Tyler of Greenville, TN, and Jimmy Coleman of Canada, thirty-nine grandchildren, ninety-four great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services are Sunday, May 29, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. graveside at Woodson Temple Cemetery. Burial in Woodson Temple Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc. of Hamburg, AR.
