Mrs. Coria M. Brown, 74 of Crossett, AR, died Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at her residence. She was born on June 11, 1940 in Kellyville, OK, was a retired Registered Nurse and was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Pechola Battle, five brothers and six sisters. Coria was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her church, and had served in various capacities, including Senior Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher & Superintendent and Vacation Bible School Director. She also enjoyed cooking and fishing.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Mr. George Brown, one son, Norman Walker, Jr. of Houston, TX, three daughters, Rozena Walker of St. Paul, MN, Patricia Brown of Crossett, AR and Joyce Brown-McDaniel, husband Tony of Little Rock, AR, two brothers, Brady Battle, wife Dorothy of Detroit, MI, Leonard Battle of Wichita, KS, six grandchildren and six great-grandcildren.
Funeral services are Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church on Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive with Rev. Curtis Jackson, officiating. Pallbearers are Roy Curtis, Bryan Miles, Jesse Cook, Larry Dawson, Paul Weems and Marcus McDaniel. Burial in Tillman Cemetery in Luther, Oklahoma.
Visitation from 6-8 pm, Monday, February 2, 2015 in the Cromwell Funeral Home Chapel.
