Obituary

Mother Clorene Trotter Belin, age 88,  was called from labor to reward on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. She fought the good fight, she kept the faith, there is therefore now laid up for her a crown of righteousness.

Mother Belin was born March 22, 1933 in Johnsville, Arkansas to Harrison and Rhoda Trotter who preceded her in death. She was one of fifteen children. She was the Matriarch of the Trotter-Rogers Family and was the National President of the Trotter-Rogers Family Reunion.

Mother Belin was a dedicated Mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She was a loving Granny, Great-Granny, NaNa and Auntie. She had a heart of gold and was a giver. Not only was she a giver but she taught her children to give as well. She led by example. From church activities, to cheerleading tryouts, to band concerts, to football, baseball, and softball games, to choir concerts, to graduations, to award ceremonies to ordinations, and more – she was always present.

Mother Belin gave her life to the Lord at a very early age and was committed to her faith as well as to the church throughout her life. She loved the Lord and served faithfully at Gates Chapel AME Church, New Bethel MBC, Davis Memorial COGIC, all in Crossett, Arkansas and Ebenezer AME Church in Maryland. In 2007, she united with Kingdom Worship Center in Maryland where she served faithfully and was an active member in the Seasoned Saints Seniors Ministry. She loved spending time with the seniors and enjoyed her birthday dinner celebrations with them each year. She loved good gospel music and could be found dancing before the Lord on any given Sunday.

Mother Belin also enjoyed numerous activities including her membership with the Harford County Senior Center where she was an officer of the Golden Age Club. The many trips and special events with the senior center were a highlight for her. From chair aerobics to bingo, to knitting and crocheting all of these made it a joy for her to go each day.

Mother Belin was known for her dimples and her laughter. She was blessed with friends from far and near, and she never met a stranger. She was also known for her southern style down-home cooking, from scratch meals and desserts, especially her dressing, sweet potato pies, and homemade ice cream. Her love language was cooking and sharing. She happily shared her gift of cooking and delicious meals with family, friends, and even strangers.

Mother Belin was preceded in death by her parents Harrison and Rhoda Trotter; her siblings Augusta, Bea Essie, Daisey, Fannie Bea, Rosie Lee, Levi, Earnest, Graham, Irene, Lee Ellen, James, Charlene, Robert and Ometha,  along with her oldest daughter Patricia.

Mother Clorene Trotter Belin leaves to cherish her loving memory, wonderful life and rich legacy her brother-in- law Thomas Lowe Sr., Crossett, AR; her children Deloise Danzy (Robert)  of Parker, TX , Maurice Belin (Karen) of Kent, WA, and Precilla Belin of Balcamp, MD; her grandchildren Carando Davis of Benton, AR, Kamario Frazier of Seattle, WA, Keesha Powell (Reuben Jr.) of Rosedale, MD,  Arnessa Belin, Benjamin Belin (Danielle) all of Seattle, WA, Denzel Belin of Minneapolis, MN, and Kaneal Loftis of Parker, TX; her ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and church family.
