Mr. Clarence Huey Woods, 49, of Montrose, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, MS. He was a life-long resident of Montrose, a member of the Full Gospel Outreach Minister, and an avid fish and outdoorsman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elder Huey P. Woods, three brothers, William, Kenneth, & Christopher Woods, one sister, Mary Lee Woods. He is survived by one son, Roderick Deshawn Woods & wife, Jesha, of San Jose, CA, one daughter, Amy Mitchell & husband, Jessie, of Montrose, mother, Tretha Woods of Montrose, three brothers, Elder Jack Wood & wife, Ethel, of Montrose, Elder Ray C. Woods & wife, Yvonne, of Hamburg, & John Woods & wife, Rosetta, of Portland, three sisters, Arma Woods, Esther Moseby, both of Montrose, Evelyn Taylor, & husband, Myron, of Pocahontas, IA, & seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, January 1, 2010, 5-6 p.m. at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral services are Saturday, 1 p.m. at Full Gospel Outreach Minister, with Elder Jack Woods, Rev. Vernon Coulter, Rev. Larry Coulter officiating. Pallbearers are John Ware, Kenneth Moore, Edward, Moseby, Jr., Adolphus Foster, Larry Ford, & Jonathan Webb. Honorary pallbearers are Roderick Woods, John Woods, Jr., Sharod Blakely, Kenny Woods, Earl Moseby, & Jack Woods, Jr. Burial will follow the Montrose Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc.
